Our firm handles all aspects of the law but focuses primarily on commercial litigation matters, including but not limited to: Creditors Rights; Debtor and Creditor Collections (both Secured and Unsecured); Mortgage Foreclosures; Bank Fraud and other Banking Litigation.

Hara Podel Caplan established her own practice in 2008 focusing on commercial litigation including creditors’ rights and debt collection. Prior to starting her own practice, Hara was an associate at a prestigious law firm in Philadelphia where her practice also concentrated on commercial litigation. As a litigator, Hara has successfully argued cases in many jurisdictions, including the Pennsylvania Superior Court.

Hara also served as a legal intern for the Honorable Richard B. Klein of the Pennsylvania Superior Court and was selected to be part of the exclusive Summer Honors Program at the Philadelphia District Office of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.

In addition to her legal background, Hara received her Masters in Businesses Administration from Villanova University, which gives her the advantage of evaluating client’s concerns from multiple perspectives.

Hara is active in the legal community by providing pro bono legal services to low-income Philadelphians through Philadelphia VIP and serves as an arbitrator with the Philadelphia Arbitration Center. In addition, Hara is as an executive board member of the Louis D. Brandeis Law Society, and a member of the American Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Young Professionals Network of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and The Commercial Law League of America.

Hara is licensed to practice law in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
